Schauhaus Leipzig, aiming to add ´a new and special experience to Germany's club scenery´, has recently been refurbished across its three floors.The prompt completion of the project was down to the experts of Böhlen-based Designgroup Professional, and meant that grand re-opening of the ´first floor´ took place right on time. Designgroup avoided over the top detail, and instead it focused on more subtle wall decorations, including precious wallpaper prints with indicated circles in different sizes as well as shades of grey in order to highlight mostly the walls behind various seats. Various light boxes with large format prints and eye motives add further visual accents. Designgroup used its own highly advanced and modern LED technology; LED Pixelwalls. All in all, the custom-designed walls result in 24 square metres of extra bright LEDs, with the individual size of each pixel being 20 x 30 cm on a pixel basis of P250 mm.The LED technology is controlled by MADRIX. The professional LED lighting control software guarantees astonishing lighting effects, as well as reliable and error-free operation for the installation.The three separate matrices in question are controlled with one software - MADRIX dvi - dvi output is used to send output data to the LEDs. A standard personal computer runs the software. Another particular feature of this installation is the use of low resolution. Such installations have a completely different visual appeal to the eye and require special effects. A classic media server video solution would not be useful in this case, but both the software and hardware selections are well-suited to the venue and its particular LED requirements. Schauhaus Leipzig has been attracting people for over 30 years. Since the fall of the Berlin Wall 20 years ago, the venue has conducted renovations to reinvent its club culture every three years. The latest make over has created a hip, retro style using brand new LED technology at the same time. It has been confirmed by MADRIX and Designgroup that the demand for professional LED solutions is consistently increasing, and LED set-ups, such as the LED Pixelwall in the Schauhaus, are frequently created around the world.Not long ago, Designgroup successfully launched their LED Pixelwalls.
